I work within the field of stitched textiles, making, teaching and writing. I live very close to the sea in Sandgate, Kent, from where I glean most of the creative impetus for my drawing and stitching.
I give lectures and workshops on a freelance basis, offering a range of stitching, drawing and design courses, and I have a good breadth of teaching experience both at home and abroad. I also enjoy working in schools as Visiting Tutor for Art/Textiles in both the Primary and Secondary sectors.
I am a member of the Textile Study Group (formerly PSG), and of the Embroiderers Guild, and exhibit on a fairly regular basis. I have had several articles published and written two books - Surfaces for Stitch, and just recently, Drawn to Stitch.
